Weeks 10-12

Week 10 (29th March):
Woohoo, double figures.
This week has been a bit uneventful really, not doing much in my new job as i'm waiting for the other new person to start to our training can properly begin. I am totally dreading telling my boss that i'm pregnant, but i don't have to do it yet so its fine.

This week our little cakies is 25-35mm long and weighs about 3-5g so he/she is about the size of a small plum now. He/she has taste and tooth buds at this point and will continue to develop. The brain will continue to grow at an amazing rate and nearly a quarter of a million neurons are produced every minute. How mad is that! His/her heart is now completely developed too.

Week 11 (5th April):
This week has been alright, it seems to of actually gone quite quickly thankfully. This weekend we haven't really done anything as my boyfriend has had man flu, well at least he thinks he has. I have been feeling slightly less tired this week which has been a bonus. Our cakies is now the size of a lime, Length wise seems to vary from site to site but its somewhere between 1.2 - 2.4 inches and weighs about 8 grams at this point. Our little cakies fingernails start to develop this week and its intestines are developing too. All its vital organs are now developed too and will continue to grow in size and efficiency in the coming weeks.

Week 12 (12th April):
Woohoo! Reached the magic 12 week mark. Phew!!
Had a fab trip up north, we visited Manchester and Liverpool. It was nice to have a few days away and my boyfriend and i spent some quality time together. It was a tiring few days but we really enjoyed ourselves.
We also bought our first baby purchases!
I just couldn't resist them. The one on the right is from the Disney shop, i saw it a few weeks ago and resisted but when i reached the magic 12 week mark i thought what the hell!
According to the info this week our baby is about 2.5 inches long and weighs around 14 grams ish. My uterus is now too large to remain completely in my pelvis. Also had a few moments of pregnancy brain over the last couple of days. My boyfriend thinks i am going a bit mad, its funny though.
Scan this week, i'm so nervous but so excited at the same time!
